OUR STORY

“Roka” Restaurant is settled in an old building of 1912 with interesting architecture –in an area where you can admire old preserved captain houses.

The warm colors of the small courtyard filled with trees and flowers give you the feeling of a relaxing and pleasant welcome escaping from the crowd. Inside there are three small charming rooms to sit ideal for some colder nights near the wooden stove and enjoy delicate flavors. On the backside of the restaurant there is wonderful sea view of the northwest side of the island. Hidden and private but only a few minutes away from the main marble walk way.

A new team with fresh ideas took over the restaurant on 2017 continuing the good work. Our vision is for the visitors to feel welcome and at home receiving experienced, attentive and friendly treatment.

Fine aromas of mainly citrus fruits on the nose. Excellent structure with flavor density and freshness, minerality, typical of the variety and the soil.

Domaine Sigalas / Aidani /Oia / 13,0 % vol

On the nose we find aromas of yellow fruits and citrus fruits as, some vegetal elements, reminiscent of grass and some white flowers. The aromas of the nose are confirmed in the mouth.

Estate Argyros Santorini / Asyrtiko / Episkopi / 14,5 % vol

Moderately aromatic, with dominant notes of citrus fruits, aromas of lemon, citrus, grapefruit, peach. In the mouth peach, lemon, grapefruit and green apple on a wet stone background.

Impressive aromas of flint, lemon, petrol, tobacco, ripe peach, grapefruit, citrus, yeast and honeysuckle. In the mouth, ripe citrus fruits mingle with notes of peach, white flowers, yeast, tobacco, wet stone and honeycomb.

Distinct aromas of mainly citrus fruits, notes of iodine and a sense of minerality. Lively, well-structured body, persistent aftertaste with a fruity finish.

Complex nose. Citrus aromas, with citrus, lemon, bitter orange and grapefruit dominating. Some sweet aromas of honey, butter and vanilla. In the mouth buttery sensation, lime, orange, almond, peach, honeycomb, roasted butter and toast.

Tropical fruits and white flesh, mango, pineapple, apricot, peach, chrysanthemum and daisy. Peach and pineapple flavors predominate, with apricot following.

Discreet aromas of lemon, grapefruit, white peach, white flowers, yeast and wet stone. In the mouth it is oily, juicy citrus fruits and stone fruits are covered by a mineral mantle that perfectly reflects the terroir of the island.

Subdued aromas of honey, lemon, vanilla, toasted bread, peach, wet stone and orange. In the mouth, it has impressive concentration and structure. Citrus fruits make their presence felt, lemon, peach, pear are complemented by yeast and gunpowder, crisp acidity and a salty aftertaste.

Honey, yellow fruits and jasmine characterize the shy nose, but Nychteri wins points in the mouth with great richness and body, roundness of taste and impressive aftertaste.

Complex aromas of aging, wood, hazelnuts, tobacco and vanilla that blend harmoniously with the fruity aromas of the variety, apple and peach. Mouth fat, round, with excellent structure, minerality and strong aromatic aftertaste.

Its aromatic profile immediately betrays the wine's provenance, with citrus fruits such as lemon and bergamot, orange peel, chamomile, apricot and earthy notes reminiscent of stone. In the mouth it is rich with high acidity, intense lemony flavors and a salty aftertaste.

Its aroma is elegant with dominant citrus fruits such as lemon and bergamot, mineral notes reminiscent of flint and hints of apricot. Rich and cool in the mouth with a long lemony aftertaste.

KARANIKAS BRUT CUVEE PRESTIGE / Xinomavro, Asyrtiko / Amydeon / 11,5 % vol

The nose evokeswith the freshness of unripe fruit, green apple along with lemony hints and white flowers combined with aromas of yeast, yeast and minerality. Mouth full of energy, with the highest levels of acidity, completely dry and strict but with enough fruit to balance and lead to an aftertaste full of freshness. The foam is creamy and persistent with very good quality small bubbles. Dry - Acidity 4.5 - Body 3.5 - Intensity 3.0 - Aftertaste 3.5

Its color is rose with orangehighlights. Its refined aromas remind us of red fruits such as cherry and sour cherry and yeast.
